At ScribeQ (operated by Cogmesh Labs), we believe that your voice and thoughts belong to you. ScribeQ is engineered with a strict Zero-Surveillance Architecture. We do not sell your personal data, track your location, or build advertising profiles.
Android AccessibilityService API Prominent Disclosure
ScribeQ uses the Android AccessibilityService API strictly to provide its core voice typing functionality:
- Purpose: Detecting when a user focuses on an editable text input field and programmatically inserting transcribed speech directly where your text cursor is located.
- What ScribeQ DOES NOT do: ScribeQ does NOT read, harvest, log, or monitor keystrokes, passwords, usernames, credit card numbers, or messages entered in any app.
- Voluntary Activation: The accessibility service only transmits audio when you explicitly tap the floating recording button. When recording stops, audio capture ends immediately.
1. Information We Process
- Audio Recordings: Audio is captured locally on your device only when you actively trigger voice typing. Raw audio is converted to standard 16kHz PCM in memory and streamed via encrypted HTTPS/TLS to our low-latency transcription gateway. Audio is transcribed in volatile RAM and is never stored on disk or retained on our servers after transcription completes.
- License Verification Data: When activating ScribeQ Pro, we process your license key or anonymous device instance identifier to verify your trial status and subscription quota.
- Payment Data: Payment processing is handled entirely by our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy. ScribeQ never sees or stores your full credit card numbers or banking information.
2. Third-Party AI Infrastructure
To deliver near-instantaneous transcription, ScribeQ routes speech through enterprise AI inference providers (Groq and Deepgram). Our enterprise agreements enforce strict Zero Data Retention policies: your audio is never used to train public AI foundation models.
3. Data Storage & On-Device Control
Your custom proper nouns dictionary and local transcription history are stored locally in an encrypted private SQLite database on your Android handset. You can purge your entire history or clear your vocabulary list at any time inside the ScribeQ Settings screen.
4. Children's Privacy
ScribeQ is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
5. Contact & Data Deletion
If you have questions about this policy or wish to request data deletion, contact us at [email protected].
